How This Jet Ski Community Unites Riders All Over The World
By Gaby Keiderling

When Vic Ski Riders launched in 2019, they started off with a simple vision: to create a community where people could ride together, connect, and share the thrill of jet skiing across Victoria, Australia. By mid-2022, they merged with Florida Ski Riders, officially becoming a part of the global ski rider community—and uniting nations in the process.
Suddenly, Vic Ski Riders was more than just a local coterie. They were part of something bigger, something worldwide. At the core of the company was its #homeoftheriders Communities, celebrating good people coming together to create unforgettable experiences.
Growing the Crew

Over the years, they’ve hosted countless rides and events, but their signature gatherings are the Trek rides: Summer, Spring, Winter and Autumn—multi-day adventures along the Murray River and lakes. Riders can join in for 2 to 3 days of beach camping, long runs on the water, and nights around the campfire with lamb and chicken spits. These treks aren’t just rides; they’re traditions.
In 2023, we introduced the Welcome Summer Event at Rye, sponsored by Peter Stevens and Brendan Issell, alongside Jet Pilot, Jet1 Industries, and others. The event pulled in over 100 participants, with 50–60 skis on the water throughout the day. Raffles, 15 prize giveaways, and plenty of food and drinks kept the good vibes rolling. Special shoutouts go to Kevin Truong, Shane Fletcher, Yannick, and John Grapsas, who were key to making it all happen.
If the weather had played along, they would’ve set a record for the biggest ski meetup in Victoria—but that’s the goal they’re chasing for next year.
Vic’s Spots

For the Victorians, the real season runs from November to March, so they pack in as much riding as we can during those five months. Some of their local runs include: Patterson River to Mount Martha—famous for its cliffs, crystal waters, and perfect swim stops, and Mount Martha to Safety Beach—pristine blue waters that never disappoint.
When they’re feeling particularly adventurous, they head further out, doing rides from Sandy Point to Skull Rock (a place that fewer people have stepped foot on than the moon), Port Welshpool to Refuge Cove and Skull Rock, and The Twelve Apostles Run—featuring stunning cliffs and rugged ocean swells.
The Ride Ahead

The upcoming year makes for an array of exciting events and rides for the team. Spring and Summer Treks will entail long-distance rides, riverside camping, and 180–220 mile days on the Murray—a huge event with camping BBQs and Jetskis. The Bigride 2026 is an over 1300 mile ride spanning the entire length of the Murray river. They partner up with the South Australians on this ride and are extending it to Queensland for 2026. And their main summer event is the Lake Eildon ride, with the exclusive Eildon Boatclub.
The Ride Ahead
From just a handful of riders in 2019 to a thriving, connected community and crew, Vic Ski Riders has come a long way. But this is still the beginning. With more rides, more events, and more adventures ahead, they’re committed to keeping the stoke alive and the community stronger than ever. Vic Ski Riders is just getting started.
