Don’t Miss Out On Autumn Eyewear
By Malcia Greene

Whether you’re headed out on a brisk fall jet ski ride or simply running errands at the supermarket, finding the perfect pair of sunglasses goes a long way. Even though the sun isn’t as strong as it during the summertime, having proper eye protection this fall is just as important.
We chatted with New York City-based ophthalmologist, Dr. Daniel Reese, to get his advice on what to look for when choosing sunglasses. “The best sunglasses have polarized lenses, or, they have ultraviolet (UV) coatings on them, because it’s UV light that causes the most damage on your eyes,” Dr. Reese says. “The other coatings that can be put on lenses, aside from glare, are for blue-light. Glare is the biggest single problem for people when on the beach, on the water, when it’s even when it’s raining or snowing out—it’s the most bothersome and interferes with being able to see properly. Eliminating [glare] makes it much more comfortable for people to actually be moving.” Keeping Reese’s advice in mind, we set off to search for the best sunglasses on the market today.
While the world of accessories can feel overwhelming, it doesn’t have to. From luxury brands like Loewe to sporty eyewear brands like Maui Jim, we’ve rounded up our 14 favorite sunglasses to combat autumn sun (it’s there—we promise!).
